The bell was then crushed and the lid was replaced by a wooden case, hence the name, Liberty Bell. Today, the bell can still be seen in Independence Hall. This historical attraction in Philadelphia is dedicated to the sacrifices made by many Americans during the Revolutionary War. Visitors can hear the history as they listen to a bell chime each day.
