Veteran's Memorial Park in Las Cruces

  If you have ever been to Las Cruces, New Mexico, you have undoubtedly seen the Veterans Memorial Park. The park was dedicated on May 5, 1999, and is a beautiful place to relax and honor veterans. It was built under the direction of the City, with assistance from the local Las Cruces Home Builders Association. It is the first place in the United States to commemorate the contributions of local and national military personnel. The park was created as a way to honor and celebrate veterans who served the country from the Revolutionary War to the present day. The Veterans Advisory Board and the home builders' association worked together to construct the park. The park was dedicated on May 5, 1999. It includes monuments that memorialize the men and women who have served in the armed forces and has a trail that leads to it. The Philadelphia Museum of Art has one of the largest art collections in the world. The Philadelphia Museum of Art was established in 1876 as a model for the world's first modern art museum. The original building was designed by architect Louis Sullivan, who added a garden to the rear. Today the building houses the world-renowned Philadelphia Museum of Art. It was built with an interdisciplinary group of artists practicing the eclectic arts, including artists such as Helen Frankenthaler, Lorenzo Rennebohm, Samuel Roth, Edvard Munch, and worse. The Philadelphia Museum of Art has an art museum collection that is unparalleled in size and breadth.
