Museum of Nature & Science

The Museum of Nature & Science (DMNS) is a natural history and science museum. It is the region's municipal science and natural history museum. Founded in 1890, the museum is a natural resource for informal science education. It also houses an educational planetarium and a space for hands-on experiments. Visitors can explore the exhibits on a variety of topics, such as meteorites and dinosaur fossils. Founded in 1898, the museum is located in Lawrence, Kansas. It has an expansive collection of natural history exhibits, including fossils, and a living, working beehive. There are also several special exhibits based on the biological diversity of the Great Plains. In addition to its permanent exhibitions, there are several temporary and special exhibitions focusing on the history and evolution of the region. Among the special exhibits at the KU Natural History Museum is the world's largest diorama, which features scenes from tropical to arctic habitats. The Museum's missio
