Thomas Jefferson Memorial

The Thomas Jefferson Memorial is an important historical monument in the United States. It was built between 1939 and 1943 under the sponsorship of President Franklin D. Roosevelt. It is located in Washington, D.C., and is one of the most visited places in the city. It is a must-see for everyone. If you visit the city, be sure to pay the monument a visit. Its beautiful architecture, as well as its impressive sculptures, are worth seeing. The monument's four panels feature the quotes that made Jefferson the ideal American. The first panel quotes Jefferson's 1779 Statute for Religious Freedom, which was enacted in Virginia in 1786. The fourth panel features a quotation from the same letter. This recreational area is 400 acres in size and includes a lake, playgrounds, sports fields, two pools, and 18 holes of golf. There are also tennis courts, baseball diamonds, and basketball courts. For those with more of an active lifestyle, there is a golf course here. For the more serious sports enthusiast, there are other options to keep the competitive juices flowing. In addition to the recreational activities, Ascarate Park is home to a number of other attractions, including an indoor track. Ascarate Park has several different features. There are walking trails throughout the park, two lighted basketball courts, and a lighted golf course. For the water enthusiast, there is an Olympic-sized competition pool and a golf course. This facility is open to the public and is managed by the YMCA of El Paso. Its water temperature is cool enough to swim at, but there are no restrictions. With temperatures that dip into the single digits during January, it is the perfect time to take in all that this water park has to offer.
