The Battleship New Jersey is a historic vessel that was commissioned indeed in WW II and served with the Navy. She served in the Pacific, Gulf of Mexico, and the Caribbean. Her official name was the " USS Arizona" and was one of the first ships to be fitted with an air carrier flight deck. She served throughout the war and after the war was decommissioned and placed in reserve. In 1992, she was re renamed the " Battleship New Jersey" and was added to the National Register of Historic Places list.

During the program, you will have the opportunity to visit the USS Wisconsin, the largest World War II attack ship. The Battleship New Jersey Museum has guided tours of the ship. You will have the chance to visit the Propulsion Room where the Navy tried to develop a nuclear power plant. In addition, the museum has an exhibit of the radioactive isotopes and gases released during the atomic bomb test during the testing. This oral history is part of "PHASMA" (PHASMA Oral History of the United States) which is a joint project of PHASMA ( Nuclear Medicine Association of America) and the Navy Armed Services History Program.

After learning about the history of the Battleship New Jersey, you will also get an opportunity to experience live entertainment. During the tour, you will experience a musical intermission followed by an on-stage question and answer session with cast members from history. At the end of the live entertainment, you will be invited to meet the featured guest who will sign autographs and take your photo.
