The Adventure Aquarium
The Adventure Aquarium formerly known as the New Jersey State Aquarium is an entertaining kid-friendly amusement park that offers several live or painted aquatic creatures. It has been licensed to operate by the New Jersey State Aquarium. It has two themes, namely the City of New York and the Seaside City. Its main attraction is the Big Apple Aquarium which includes a replica of the New York City skyline and the Statue of Liberty. In addition to the attractions, there are also several shops and restaurants. At the end of June, the aquarium will close for renovations.
For those who want to enjoy the New Jersey State Aquarium without having to pay the admission fee, they can buy one of the zoo's visitors' passes. The passes have different price ranges and are available before the end of May through September. They can be purchased online or at a New Jersey state park ticket office. Most of the passes include free entry into the Adventure Aquarium and other attractions.
The pre-Kleen Aquarium is another kid-friendly attraction located in Atlantic City, New Jersey. This aquatic attraction is for both kids and adults. Among the featured animals are the stingray, clownfish, rainbow trout, blue catfish, largemouth bass, and damselfly. There are also interactive exhibits where visitors can learn about life aquatic from experts like Dr. Linus Frick. One of the highlights of the tour is when the tank is "redressed" so that tank inhabitants like the stingray can feel the water and see the other fish swimming around.
Another way to enjoy the New Jersey State Aquarium and other ocean aquariums in the Garden State is by taking a sightseeing tour of the various exhibits. Some of these tours include the following: Marine Science On-Star Tour, NJ Sea Life Tours, Walking in the Sand Tour, Wild Things with Wolves, and the Believe Aquarium. Adventure Aquarium and Spas in Atlantic City also offers several sightseeing attractions along the Boardwalk.
For those guests who want a close-up look at all the exciting attractions offered at the Adventure Aquarium and the adjacent Amusement Park, they should visit the Shark Encounter. First-time visitors to the New Jersey state aquarium should not miss this exhibit where they will get the chance to swim with stingrays, sharks, and more. Children are not advised of the dangerous-looking sharks and stingrays at this exhibit.
Another great experience at the Adventure Aquarium and the adjacent Amusement Park is the "Shark Wave" in which several sharks fly and touch the water. These amazing sights are available only during certain seasons and times. When these shows are offered, Adventure Aquarium's " Sharks Underwater Zoo" is also available for guests to enjoy. In this exhibit, the visitors can swim with the sharks and feed them. The "Sharks Underwater Zoo" displays both live and dead sharks.
One of the most exciting things that Adventure Aquarium and the adjacent New Jersey State Aquarium offers its visitors is the "Shark Cage." At this place, the visitors can swim and feed the sharks. However, children under the age of 12 are not permitted to swim with the sharks in the shark tunnel or the shark bridge. The entire attraction is included in the admission fee. It is advisable to pay a visit to the New Jersey State Aquarium prior to reserving a boat trip.
Among the other attractions at the Adventure Aquarium is the "ipment support center." Here, you can inquire about the various types of equipment needed to be brought on board the different fishing boats. The aquarium has also arranged for educational seminars regarding the conservation of the oceans. The seminar would be held at the Nauticus Water Park. If you are in New Jersey, you can simply call the Adventure Aquarium and ask them for more information regarding the different water parks, aquariums, and other marine attractions in the state.
