Bear Creek Nature Park is located about three miles from Highway 41 in Grants, Montana. The park has three main sections: Big Loop, Bear Creek Overlook, and Cedar Falls. Hiking to the park's main areas is fairly easy due to the fairly even terrain. There are several trails that will lead to the other two sections of the park.

Bear Creek Nature Park has some beautiful scenery, making it a popular hiking location. At each end of the hiking loop, there are scenic overlooks. The best way to see all of the scenery is to hike from trail to trail. In addition to the great hiking terrain, bear creek nature park offers many other activities, including bicycling, rafting, cabin rentals, horseback riding, skiing, and boating.

Hiking is the best way to experience Bear Creek, Nature Park. Some of the more common hiking trails include Bear Creek Trail, Spring Creek Trail, and Falls Creek Trail. Bear Creek Trail is the most popular hiking trail. This trail follows the Creek's route around the Park. Most of the hiking trails here follow the Creek's path as it meanders through the forest. In addition to the trail, many of the cabins in Bear Creek Nature Park are situated along the trail.

Besides hiking, Bear Creek Nature Park also features a picturesque picnic area for park visitors. The picnic tables are placed along the Highway 41A overpass above the Bear Creek River. The highway overpass has many restaurants, motels and cabins, gas stations, and parking areas. These facilities make the park extremely popular with park visitors. In addition to the picnic tables, there are benches, bathrooms, and concession stands.

Bear Creek Nature Park also features other outdoor activities such as camping, mountain biking, canoeing, kayaking, horseback riding, hiking, swimming, mountain climbing, hiking on portions of the Grand Canyon Trail, and picnicking at numerous picnic and camping sites throughout the park. Many visitors choose to camp at the park's campground, which is located between Bear Creek Mountain and Cedar Mountain. Other attractions in Bear Creek Nature Park include the historic Pine Ridge and Cedar City Campgrounds. Both of these historic campsites can be explored by hiking, bicycle, or automobile. Other trails offer hikers the opportunity to view creeks, rivers, streams, and woods.

Other attractions include observation decks, which provide park visitors with the chance to take in the natural beauty of the park. One of the popular observation decks in the park is the observation deck at Mountain Cove, which overlooks Bear Creek Canyon. The nature trail of Bear Creek Trailhead and the trail to Cedar Mountain Park depart from this picnic area. Other picnic areas at Bear Creek Nature Park are scattered throughout the Bear Creek watershed, including Big Bear Creek, Bridalveil Creek, Big Bear River, Bear Lake, Cottonwood Creek, Deer Lake, and Hickory Hollow.

Over 40 miles of trails offer hikers the opportunity to see abundant wildlife, including coyotes, deer, elk, and bears. Hikers can also experience the thrill of mountain biking on portions of the Grand Canyon Trail within Bear Creek Nature Park. Mountain biking is a popular activity in the Bear Creek area. Other trail features include hiking, bicycle, and horseback riding. Picnic tables, grills, pavilions, and rest areas are also scattered around the park. The wilder side of Bear Creek has trails for hiking, mountain biking, and nature trails.

Hiking enthusiasts will enjoy the opportunity to cross country trek the trails from Bear Creek Nature Park to its sister parks. Hikers can choose to make their way through the forest on mountain bikes or stroll on foot to experience the park's natural beauty. Trail rides are available for families, as well as groups who want to take a more customized tour of Bear Creek. Trips can be planned for a particular day or a weekend trip. Whatever you want to do, Bear Creek Trail has some exciting possibilities.
